Plan a first phase around a decision you can verify

Write the question the finished work must answer. “Which quotation did the customer accept?” provides a better starting point than “build a customer dashboard,” because it identifies a relationship and a way to review it.

Establish the record and its owner

List the request, offer, document editions and decisions involved. Mark which application owns each fact. A customer name is not necessarily a reliable matching key; two accounts can have similar names, and an organisation can change its contact person.

Use fictional examples to describe the sequence. Include a normal case and one exception that currently causes doubt. For a revised quote, record what happens if an older link is opened after the new offer has been issued.

Resolve dependencies in an order that helps

A language reviewer must approve the meaning of translated terms. A provider must confirm the interface available to the business account. Your responsible adviser decides legal or accounting requirements. Development can investigate technical feasibility while these decisions remain open, but the first phase should identify what depends on their answers.

The written scope should distinguish investigation from implementation and name its acceptance owner. Include content preparation, test records, migration, account ownership and recovery where needed. Explain the timing event and the consequence of missing it; a requested date is not yet an agreed delivery commitment.

Finish the phase with useful evidence

Ask the receiving staff member to identify the current offer, explain its decision state and continue the task. Record unresolved cases and the operating instructions needed for tomorrow. Review scope and pricing before comparing proposals, or contact us with the first question and its dependencies.
